ACT's Calibration Results for Clementine's UVVIS Camera

This page provides ACT's calibration results for the UVVIS Clementine camera. ACT has derived calibration coefficients for the UVVIS camera from inflight data while looking at VEGA. Different versions of the calibration coefficients have been distributed.

Calibration Version

Brief Comments

ACT's 9/20/95 UVVIS calibration -This version failed to provide good correlation between c2(T) and T.
ACT's 1/96 UVVIS calibration -This version provided a more robust procedure in the estimation of the calibration coefficients.
-An update to the FPA temperature was generated due to a problem encountered during RF blockage.
-Good correlation between c2(T) and T was obtained.
-Preliminary results by USGS using this version indicate that there is a nonlinearity in the raw DN values prior to A/D. ACT observation of LLNL's laboratory data does not suggest the presence of an non-linearity. Follow this link for an example.
ACT's UVVIS FINAL REPORT (Feb. 1999) This report summarizes all of ACT's work in the inflight calibration of the UVVIS camera.

Exercise the above calibration versions on a set of sample images.
